Localized deconvolution on the sphere

چکیده
We provide a new algorithm for the treatment of deconvolution on the sphere which combines the traditional SVD inversion with an appropriate thresholding technique in a well chosen new basis. We establish upper bounds for the behaviour of our procedure for any Lp loss. It is important to emphasize the adaptation properties of our procedures with respect to the regularity (sparsity) of the object to recover as well as to inhomogeneous smoothness. We also perform a numerical study which proves that the procedure shows very promising properties in practice as well.

Exact reconstruction with directional wavelets on the sphere
A new formalism is derived for the analysis and exact reconstruction of band-limited signals on the sphere with directional wavelets. It represents an evolution of the wavelet formalism developed by Antoine & Vandergheynst (1999) and Wiaux et al. (2005). The translations of the wavelets at any point on the sphere and their proper rotations are still defined through the continuous three-dimensio...
متن کاملOptimal Spherical Deconvolution
This paper addresses the issue of optimal deconvolution density estimation on the 2-sphere. Indeed, by using the transitive group action of the rotation matrices on the 2-dimensional unit sphere, rotational errors can be introduced analogous to the Euclidean case. The resulting density turns out to be convolution in the Lie group sense and so the statistical problem is to recover the true under...
متن کاملExtrinsic Geometrical Methods for Neural Blind Deconvolution
The present contribution discusses a Riemannian-gradient-based algorithm and a projection-based learning algorithm over a curved parameter space for single-neuron learning. We consider the ‘blind deconvolution’ signal processing problem. The learning rule naturally arises from a criterion-function minimization over the unitary hyper-sphere setting. We consider the blind deconvolution performanc...
متن کاملLocalized Deconvolution: Characterizing NMR-based Metabolomics Spectroscopic Data using Localized High-throughput Deconvolution
The interpretation of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experimental results for metabolomics studies requires intensive signal processing and multivariate data analysis techniques. Standard quantification techniques attempt to minimize effects from variations in peak positions caused by sample pH, ionic strength, and composition. These techniques fail to account for adjacent signals which can l...
متن کاملThe application of a new sampling theorem for non-bandlimited signals on the sphere: Improving the recovery of crossing fibers for low b-value acquisitions
Recent development in sampling theory now allows the sampling and reconstruction of certain non-bandlimited functions on the sphere, namely a sum of weighted Diracs. Because the signal acquired in diffusion Magnetic Resonance Imaging (dMRI) can be modeled as the convolution between a sampling kernel and two dimensional Diracs defined on the sphere, these advances have great potential in dMRI. I...
